Space Tyrants is a game of tactical skirmishes between armadas of space ships in the far future.  It is a miniatures-based table top game for 2 or more players.

This is a work in progress.  I welcome any and all comments, suggestions, etc.

In Space Tyrants, each Commander (that's you) controls a squadron of ships that he uses to engage other Commanders' squadrons in epic battles.  Unlike many games, battles in Space Tyrants (sometimes abbreviated simply ST) are usually played as part of a larger campaign, and the effects of one battle carries over into following battles.  After each battle, squadrons gain money for repairs, upgrades, and purchasing new ships.  Captains may gain experience during a battle, which eventually can allow you to buy special abilities for them.  These additions to your squadron may then be used in the next battle.

To start a campaign, Commanders choose a warband to represent, which determines what ships they may use and any special abilities they may have.  As a Commander, you start with 500 billion galactic credits (generally abbreviated to just "credits" or a lowercase c, i.e. 500c) which you may use to purchase ships for your squadron.   Credits are spent on ships in your squadron, with bigger and more powerful ships costing more credits.  In this way, everyone starts with a relatively balanced squadron compared to everyone else.  Battles are played out on a hex based battle mat, representing the vastness of space.  The object of a battle is to disable or destroy all of your opponent(s)' ships.
